Crêpes
Serves 4
Ingredients
250 g flour
2 eggs
500 ml milk
1 pinch salt
1 tablespoon sugar (for sweet crêpes, optional for savoury crêpes)
1 teaspoon vanilla extract (for sweet crepes, optional)
Butter for cooking
Instructions:
In a large bowl, sift the flour and add the salt. If you're making sweet crepes, also add the sugar and vanilla extract.
In another bowl, beat the eggs, then add the milk. Mix well.
Make a well in the center of the flour and gradually pour in the liquid mixture, stirring constantly to avoid lumps.
Continue mixing until you obtain a smooth dough.
Let the batter rest for about 30 minutes.
In a preheated pancake pan, add a small amount of butter to lightly grease the surface.
Pour a ladleful of batter into the hot pan and tilt the pan to distribute the batter evenly.
Cook the pancake for about 1-2 minutes on each side, until golden brown.
Repeat the process until all the batter has been used.
For savory crêpes, serve with toppings such as ham, cheese, mushrooms, etc.
For sweet crepes, choose sweet toppings such as sugar, jam, fruit or whipped cream.
